These are our Champions …

Since the beginning, my goal has always been to keep the Brittany as dual purpose as possible, not an easy task sometimes!

Producing such dogs gives me immense pleasure and I can honestly say that one of the best days of my life was winning the French Nationale D’Elevage with Patouche Toscane out of 255 dogs from 10 countries! Since, our dogs shown at this most important Yearly event have been consistently placed in the first 4, those being the only top awards.

In turn, Patouche Toscane became a full Champion handled in the field by Rory Major. Naturally, we showed her in France – incredibly successfully!

Ch. Patouche Toscane is 5th generation of our breeding, of which we continue to to this day, now at our 8th generation, with Toscane’s great granddaughter, Pistache.

Ch. Patouche Toscane

Sh. Ch. Patouche Baileys

Ivry’s granddaughter and Toscane’s daughter, Patouche Baileys became a show champion in the UK, but also won numerous CACs and a CACIB in France. We were incredibly proud of her.

Sh. Ch. Patouche Diablesse

Toscane’s daughter, Sh. Ch. Patouche Diablesse (owned by Val Howse) was made up with her 3rd CC and Best of Breed at the Brittany Club Show in September ’16. Always special to be awarded such honours by a French Judge, on this occasion by Monsieur Jean Lassandre

Ch. Patouche Gucci

Toscane’s grandson, Ch. Patouche Gucci (owned by Kate-Orde Powlett) won 3 x CCs and was made up into a full Champion, one of only a few in the UK. He is an incredible working dog too.

Sh. Ch. Ivry de Keranlouan

My favourite import, Ivry de Keranlouan (left) was from the famous kennel; my foundation bitch. She was the one who helped me achieve my first award in a Spring Pointing Test. She was also BOB at Crufts in 1997 – the first year of CC’s in the breed. (Judge – Kathy Gorman).

Ch. Patouche Milord

Our most recent full Champion, handled to his full title by my daughter Jessica in 2023. Milord is so biddable that he has helped teach my daughter so much… Milord is such a softie, but a classy and passionate worker in the field.

Ch. Lorca de Keranlouan

Soon to be followed in her footsteps by her son, Lorca de Keranlouan (above), who was to become my first Full Champion. Lorca, a very talented dog by the famous Ebert de Keranlouan, he taught me everything…

International Champions …

Our Brittanys are achieving well abroad too…

Patouche Evonny with Callmillard, aka “Hope” (owned by Sue Axtell), has won 3 EX at the Championnat De France, has been shortlisted in the Group and has multiple CAC’s overseas. She is an International Show Champion (for this you have to win 4 x CACIB’s in three countries) and in the UK she has 1 x CC and 3 x RCC’s.

Below, Patouche Lyra for Callmillard, a rare liver tricolour (owned by Sue Axtell) has won BOB and numerous CACIBs in France, and also BOBs in the Netherlands where she became a Netherlands champion, and more recently an International Champion.

Without forgetting Sh. Ch. Patouche Orelie in Ireland (owner Jimmy Havens).

Patouche Jiji
Patouche Jiji (owned by Alithea & Malcolm Lockie) became the first Full Bitch Champion in the UK; also handled by Rory Major, she is the dam of the talented Dual Champion, Tournesol Toutou.
